> CarD

The CarD integrated system is a distributed application designed by TransImago GmbH for easy integration with different kinds of Driver’s Licenses, Government ID and Passport applications using any platform, operating system and messaging infrastructure.

The CarD special architecture means that each software module can be located on a different workstation on the LAN. whereas all the modules in the CarD system communicate between themselves using Microsoft DCOM technology but the CarD system contains a gateway to any standard messaging such as EntireX, SOAP/XML , RPC , Lotus Notes and others. The communication gateway enables the CarD system to interact in a module/workstation level with software elements on the hosting environment without compromising its independence and integrity.

CarD Modules Distribution Concept

Automatic Server Module (AS) is a software component installed on every CarD workstation and enables the internal and external messaging between the CarD and the hosting environment modules.

Capture License (CarD Main Application) is a software component that manages the capture of all external imaging such as forms scanning with or without portrait picture, Digital Camera / Video Camera portrait capture, finger print capture, iris scan capture etc. The module captures an image, enhances it, analyzes it and uses its store and forward to move the compressed image to the database.

Print Server (PS)   is a software component that manages the print out of the standard output mainly using a special  security document printer. The module supports card printers in dye sublimation, laser engraving , laser and other Windows based devices.  In addition, the module interacts with external devices such as bar code reader, smart card reader/writer, automatic quality assurance devices, etc. The print server module contain a built-in proprietary “color calibration” feature that maintains uniform high quality printing.

Administration Module (Admin) is a software component responsible for all aspects of access control and permission, devices management, load balancing and certain administrative tasks and raw material management.

Print Monitor  is an application  that can be installed on any workstation on the LAN including management stations. The “Print Monitor” application can show the dedicated printers’  status at all time.

WAN Support is a software support that enables the CarD system to work across Wide Area Network and across FireWall and communication infrastructure.

Print Client  is a software module that serves as a printing infrastructure enabling external applications to print directly to the CarD print servers, in order to use the infrastructure to print other outputs than originally planned.
