TransImago’s
Customer Support System (CSS) is a Web-based collaboration system, fully
customizable for the support of integrated, multi sites, multiple station, multi
platform turn key solutions.
CSS enable a smooth installation and
integration in each site, on going maintenance and support and the introduction
and parallel operation of new versions and software
upgrades.
CSS
is an internal solution, restricted to authorized users, administrators and
service providers. CSS is accessed via Internet through a user name and password
mechanism, and multi level security and access
permissions. CSS includes the following major modules: ü Configuration
Management ü Event Reporting,
Management and Tracking ü Knowledge Base
ü Download Center
ü System
Administration
The
Configuration
Management
module, manages all the information about each organization entity, site and
workstation in the system. It covers all aspects of software modules and their
version control, integration specifics related to the various customer
applications and security and permission consideration related to each
site. If a
bug is found in any software component, its analysis will depend upon this data
and it will suggest which other locations can use the same bug fix even before
they encounter the same problem. The
configuration management build and maintain up-to-date tree structure of all
hardware workstations, software components and location information related to
the installation and running of the supported solution. The
Event
Reporting, Management and Tracking Module enable the site
administrator to report support events of all kinds (H/W problems, Software
errors and changes requests such as O/S upgrade). Each event carries all its
information and remains open until the initiator party approves that the problem
has been resolved. If the problem is of a software type, TransImago will receive
a message by email about it and will use the system to exchange information and
corrections until the problem is resolved. All
reported events will be stored in the “Knowledge
Base” and will
enable all authorized users in any site to search for problems already reported
to resolve their own situation. Knowledge base also includes all the known
errors and how to analyze and resolve them. The
Download
Center, which
is based on http/ftp server, will have a copy of all the most updated
installation setup for each canton. If a workstation must be re-installed, the
latest version relevant to each site will be stored in the download center. Available for download are complete
setup files – for the installation of a new PC, SP – service packs available for
the software upgrade of already installed PC’s and
documentation. The System
Administration
Module manages the access control - users (passwords, permissions etc), Backup
and restore and system reports. All CSS
modules are using TransImago’s NLS (National Language Support) that deliver
multiple language interfaces derived from external files. CSS had
been written in PHP / HTML and uses JDBC/PHP to interact with any relational
database available. CSS is accessed via TransImago website currently hosted by
NTT/Vario (www.vario.com) one of the world
largest web hosting services that guarantee 99.9% availability and hot backup 24
hours a day, 365 days a year with multi gigabyte bandwidth. Additional hot backup exist on
TransImago own servers, however, it can move to any professional hosting that
enables PHP, Database usage and remote software support. Technical
Services Event
Notification The CSS has a unique messaging
system enabling it to send messages to any relevant party via Email/SMS. Since
not everybody is always online, the CSS technical services will notify the
relevant parties by SMS when new event is created or resolved thus alerting them
to the new situation. Call Monitoring
& Online Billing CSS includes automatic call
monitoring enabling administrators and management to trace and monitor the
performance of the support infrastructure per specific event or per site. In
addition, online billing based on the existing support agreement is
available. Customizable
Interface CSS can be customized by
TransImago to handle specific events forms and configuration management
information. This feature enable CSS to modify it user interface and database to
support different customers. |
